Got rid of the fake stuff in the 75g tank and went to the natural LR/LS tank. Picked up 100 lbs of LR and LS for phase 1 of my transformation. phase 2 will consist of adding approx. 40-50 lbs more LR and adding some crawling critters. Third phase will be the addition of some hearty corals, sea fans, and large feather dusters. i saved my water from the old setup so the cycle would be small.

Wow, live rock makes such a difference. I love that natrual look!! You have a great setup!

Almost all sea fans are quite difficult to care for. Far harder than some of the hardy corals or feather dusters.

The tank is looking so much better! Although Slip is right about sea fans being generally difficult, there are some photosynthetic gorgonians that do quite well. Great pictures, post more!

And oh yes, it looks 1000x better with the LR. I like the aquascaping as well, lots of room for corals and fish to swim.

Thanks! Yeah, I was told by others that Seafans are rather difficult to maintain. I like the open space so fish will have the freedom to swim. I won't be adding many Corals because I just don't have the resources of maintaining a fully stocked reef system. I'm thinking just adding a few hardy ones, maybe an anenome for the clowns to play in and some large feather dusters for show.
