Remember a while back when i posted a thread with some pics of the mantis species i was ordering? Well hes gotten through his 2nd molt and is now a L3 nymph, and ive got pictures

i know this must seem odd to a lot of you, but understand how hard it is to get them to shed successfully. They need the right humidity levels (too high and the mantids wont dry out correctly causing bowed legs, too low and the manids might lose a leg in the shedding) and temp levels, the're doing really well!

when i got him he was a whopping 1/4in (i had to feed him fruit flies), now after 2sheds hes a good 1inch long (he completely owns crickets)!

here are some pics

in the first he's reaching for the camera
in the second you can see the AC in the backround!
the third hes eating a cricket
the fourth hes also eating a cricket

edit note*
im not sure why i thought this was so exciting that i needed to post it.....sometimes im so weird i freak myself out

Congrats--keeping an unusual critter successfully is very cool. Mantids have long been one of my favorites, but I have too many other critters that would happily go after the mantid--cats are very bright about getting into things. :(. I too would like to see the pics...
