I think it doesn't depend on who goes first, becuase you always say "rock, paper, scissors, match" and then throw out your hand.

Scissors cut paper, rock crushes scissors, paper covers rock (in real life :) )

I think Yahoo messenger has that game as one of their 'environments' or whatever they call 'em. I don't think there's any good way to play with three people unless you actually give each of them one of the items and have them duke it out.

Try dropping the rock on their toes. Scissors would just be dangerous to the person holding them--what if they had to run really fast? Their mom would yell at them.

If you have three poeple, do it in a round--match up you and Mary, whoever wins plays Angie. If you're really worried about fairness, go best of 3 for each round.
