I recently changed my substrate from gravel to Floral Base which had bacteria already in it. The reason I did this is because I was having trouble with my plants. After a week and a half, now my water is murky - hazy. I know the substrate is sandy - almost muddy, but I can't tell if it is caused by the substrate or by bacteria blooming? I tried to do a partial water change and it helped a little, but not much. I also changed my filter with no change.
Does anyone have any experience with this type of substrate? Any help would be appreciated.
