One big thing I have learned is this is a hobby not a science
I refused a sale once of a 12" black shark that came in from a guy who raised it in a 29g with breeding guppys and white clouds the shark never bothered anyone completly docile.I refused the sale to a guy who had if I remember right 8" knife 6" limanose 12" tiretrack 8"RTC and a mix of big SA cichlids in his 3month old 55g with a 100 feeder a week habit ( I was worried about the shark)
he just came in the next day and bought it from someone else at work
a week later he came back in trying to buy some tetras and comunity fish and a pair of glass lids.
I asked "why comunity fish?" I guess the black shark beat and killed everyone in its tank in two days breaking both lid sets in the battle. ROFL
now a few months later he has a nice comunity tank with a big watch shark protecting his little tankmates.
I'm learning fish are like people and have different personalitys even in the same species.
