After 2 months my tank is almost cycled, the amonia is 0 the nitrite instead of 10 its between 1-3 and dropping and the nitrate is between 20-40 but after tonights water change it should be better. My question is does the nitrite usually drop as fast as the amonia did, my amonia went from DANGER to 0 in a matter of day or two? Should I wait a while before I add more fish or should it be cool in a couple of days? I know it depends on my nitrites and stuff but is it cool to put fish in as soon as they drop or should I wait for the tank to settle?

Yes, once nitrates start dropping, they usually go to 0 fairly rapidly. Once this happens, you can do a large water change to removes nitrates, then stock once they are at a suitable level. I'd likely dose with ammonia for an additional day or two after the water change--a few people have seen a slight nitrite spike after the change, presumably based on a disturbance to either the filter or substrate.

Do you mean put amonia in there intentially, I have fish in there so im sure there giving off plenty of amonia.
