I was cleaning my one of many planted tanks. This particuler one is a ten gallon that consits of Java moss, anachris, riccia and salvinia...

As I was watching the water clear(bored) I noticed that there was something crawling along the glass? It looked like a worm like leech? Almost like a snail without a shell?

Now there are Ramshorns in the tank that had babies could this be a shelless snail? It was so strange... If I notice it again I could try to snap a pic of it, but it was smaller than a grain of rice so it would be rather hard to tell?

Could anyone know what this might be?

It moved slowly like a snail but was long and wormlike and was the same color of a snails's body? Lightish brown....

Thanks

Planarian. Flatworm. Platyhelminth. Harmless, but might eat fish eggs.

I caught a bass @ our lake once & when I was cleaning it for eating I found a dot wich I plucked out of the meat with a knife it was rather hardish like a kernal. then it squirmed away ,got creaped out & haven't ate one sinse.I now believe this was a form of planaria. but this one seemed parasitic as it was on a host. the planaria in fresh fish tanks dont seem to atatch to any living things but maybe they are just young. they seem to stay in or near the substrate. @ night they move up out of the substrate but not very high up the tank .mine are also in a 10 gallon heavily planted refugium.(freshwater!)
