I need some advice i have a 29 gollon tank with 4 black skirt tetras. and i have 9 mollie fry in a breeding cage in the tank can i put them in when thay get bigger are thay tank mates or not i have some plant builbs starting to grow what can i put with my skirt tetra if knot mollies what do you recomend for mates please halp one O one more thing the mollie fry seem knot to be growing im feeding powder flakes and dried b.worms im going to get some brine shrimp will that help them grow thank you for your help.
 
they will be fine tankmates once the size is right. as to how big, really depends on the size of the tetras. I would probably wait till they are about half the size of the tetras before release and try to release them as inconspicuously as possible. In other words, don't drop them in like you do food or they'll think they are food. try to net them and stick the net behind some plants so they can hide before being seen. go find yourself some hornwort, java moss, najas grass, water sprite, etc that will provide some natural cover in the tank. as for food, I really don't bother with expensive food for mollies but a variety is usally best. frozen and live foods seem to have the best nutritional value as well as keeping the fish's natural characteristics in check.
