My wifes lionhead has difficulty staying upright.. It sems the back half of his body is shorter than design would call for.. we bought him that way.. Wife says "Oh he is so cute" so well being the romantic I am.. I whipped out the 3 big ones for him.. The guy gave me a deal on him half off cause he seems to be a short termer.. Is there a fix for him?Or is he indeed just defective fish? Thanks folks

Don't feed that fish any, repeat any, dry or floating food. Pre-wet or pre-soak all foods, and use more fresh veggies. Briefly microwaved (seconds) green peas will allow the outer skin/husk to pop off, then it is a good food and for the goldie, non-gassy. Any gas in the GI track can unbalance such fish.

Not a rare problem with these distorted fish, but may be improved with careful feeding and handling on most specimens.
