I have a couple questions about what is suitable for decor in an aquarium and what is not:

I assume clear pure glass objects could be used, but how about colored glass? Mirrors (in the water)? How about glazed ceramic objects that are not intended for aquarium use?

I'm planning on, months away, redecorating my 10g, though I'm not sure how yet. Just trying to think of creative ideas that provide hiding spots for my tetra, restrict light coming in through the sides, have climbing areas for a small crab I'll be putting in at some point in the future, and is mostly clear or dark colored to look make my glow light tetras stand out. I'll probably just go with darker colored artificial plants around the sides and back, black rocks and a piece of drift wood in the middle, but I'd like to think of something more creative.

Food-safe ceramics and glassworks are safe. If it is not intended for food use, it may not be.

Glass mirrors with exposed metallic coatings on the back will not be safe or survive being under water

could i just coat the back of mirrors with silicone glue to seal them?

i probably won't use mirrors, but if i do, does anyone know if this could have any negative effect on the fish, confuse them, etc?
