I picked up 2 pair of Multies about 3 weeks ago, ended up having to sell one of the males since the remaining male was beating the crap out of him. The remaining male now claims both females. I already have fry from this trio. First time spawn with multies for me, but now first time with shellies...

Here are some pics...

Very nice pics. Great pic of the fry. I tried to get soem pics of my ocellatus fry but they were so tiny i couuldn't get them to focus, great job.

I love shellies, they are a very entertaining fish to keep. And their babies are very cute:)

Nice pictures! Yah i wish i could take good pics of my ocellatus fry, i can barely take pictures of the adults!

Are you planning on separating the fry or leaving them with the parents? I've tried leaving them and i've tried separating them and both attempts have failed. I have no clue how to raise these sensitive little buggers!

Great photos. Looks like you are using escargot shells, which reminds me that I need to make another trip to the deli to pick up another bag. Over time, they slowly dissolve in the water, and need to be supplemented by fresh shells.

A few more questions: How big a tank do you have them in? Are you using a sponge filter (I find it makes a great snack bar in between regular feedings)? Are you treating the water with buffers and Tanganyikan salts?
