Okay, I thought that I've seen a lot of weird things before, but this is something else.

I bought 4 shrimps about 3 weeks ago. 1 ammano shrimp, 2 cherry shrimps, and a bumblee shrimp. Everything was going well for about 2 days until I saw that my bumblee shrimp croaked and was being eaten by the fish. I said, "oh, well." But then 2 days later, my 2 cherry shrimps disappeared on me and I couldn't even find a trace of them. Of course, I got pissed, but, what can I do? I thought that maybe my water wasn't suitable for them, so they died too. Bummer. My ammano is still going on strong.

Today, I happen to look at my heater which is next to the HOB filter, and I happen to see something strange. I looked closer, and I couldn't believe it. My cherry shrimps were in the filter beneath the sponge moving around. Of course, I immediately took them out and put them back in the tank and they seem to be just fine (I'm happy about that).

Can anyone please explain to me how the heck did they survive for 2 weeks in a filter? Has this ever happened to anyone else?

I'm still in shock.

They survive in there eatin all the good stuff that floats on buy. My ghost shrimp actuall sit on the intake of my mini filter and just grabs all the goodies as they get sucked right to him. Lazy? or Smart?

Thanks a lot guys. I thought that I had weird shrimps. It's obvious they're a lot smarter than I thought. :D

And no, I haven't seen the movie, yet. But I'll look out for the part about the crabs (he, he).
