Night time viewing, Anyone have one of these bulbs? (moonlight)

I built my own, it is a lot of fun but I'll confess I don't use it very often. it usually stays unplugged unless there are guests at the house. I don't have pics at the time.

i bought a similar product from eBay but a noticed my female dwarf gourami had a small gash by her gils after a few days so i've stopped using them for now. i'm not sure if the male was becoming more tetchy and starting to pick on her without a total blackout at night, but i haven't had any trouble in my tank for a long time now and had'nt changed anything else so i turned them off so as to take no risks.
i'll try them again once she's healed as they did look really nice.

Howd you build one??

I ordered 2 of the 3 LED blue fixtures to put over my 75g from here . All you do is go to WalMart and buy an AC/DC converter for about $5 and wire these bad boys up. They look great and you can do it for about $15. Easy as pie:)

For the actual light's you could check your computer store. To get the led's or a cold cathod tube. If You dont mind doing the wireing yourself

:D Shamless show off of my computer :D

I've used cheap incandescent red coated lights and my Pleco comes out. He'll never come out when the main lights are on. I think he can't see the red light and only sees darkness. ??
