knifefish? community fish?

i saw some knifefish at the store and they were kept with otyher fish but i dont know anything about them and i didn't know if they were community fishor not , does anybody know? also what is the min tank size , thanks

Most pet stores will keep knife fish with other fish only cause they are not big enough to eat the other fish and they dont keep them long enough for them to out grow the tank. They are not good in community tanks.
