Ive just started to see brown flat worms starting to appear (Convolutriloba retrogemma). Although low in numbers at the moment Im aware that these can become a real problem.

My paramters are all fine, I dont want to add any suplements to my reef tank (which is very healthy), but I could add an animal to eat them though.

Does anyone have any advice at this stage ?

Thanks

John

I'd be concerned that the fish introduced to eat them will also cause problems for other 'good' things, but there are a number of wrasses that are advertised to eat flat worms. Otherwise--I've no experience with them, sorry!

I know that some people, like maybe Cearbhaill, have had good luck with Salifert's Flatworm Exit. Haven't done it myself.

I had one...it was bing brave, so i reached in and grabbed it and tossed it on a bowl of freshwater, let it die in there, then disposed of it. Don't know if that's the reccomended way, but it worked for me...

Thanks for the advice, but my flatworms are about 2mm across so it might be little difficult.....
