Hello I had previously posted this in begginer section yet I was told it would be better to move it here and it was a good idea. I have a 55 gallon tank which I would like to stock with cichlids. The fish I would really like to put in there is the blue acara all the rest can be changed. As of now I have a couple of options that I would like to share with you guys to see which are good and which are not good and any critiques, adjustments, and advice would also be very appreciated. The following are the possible combinations that I am thinking of putting in.

1. 1 Blue Acara, 2 Blue convicts, maybe a jack dempsey if not over crowding.
2. 1 Blue Acara, 1 green terror, 1 jack dempsey.
3. 1 Blue Acara, 3 convicts.
4. 1 Blue Acara, 3 rainbow cichlids.
5. 1 Blue Acara, 3 festivums.

Any other suggestions or adjustments would really be of help. Thank you.

If this is a 4 foot long 55 gallon tank I would get 5 juvie acara and 5 juvie rainbow and let a pair of each species form and sell the rest. Then you should have a breeding pair on each end of the tank and maybe some dither fish like tiger barbs in the middle of the tank.
