I know that a lot of people have small sw kits in Eclipse systems. My questions are does anyone have one? Does it have decent lighting for small stuff like button polyps, sea mat, etc.? Does the filer setup work good for SW? Do the eclipse need a protein skimmer?

I don't have one, but I looked into one when I setup my 10. I didn't get one because the ones I found all included a bio-wheel, and they increase calt creep and evaporation--not a happy thing for a a small SW setup. Otherwise--the light on the one I saw came to about 3 wpg--low, enough for some polyps and some mushrooms. I prefer live rock and sand for filtration, so would have removed all the media and just had the pump for water current. JMO, but all systems will do better with a skimmer to help remove wastes.
