Here are a few pics of the live rock I bought today localy. I also upgraded the bulbs to 2 10,oook and an acintic bulb as well. The tank only has 27 watts over it, but have room to add another 18 watts if I need to... But any rate.. it seems that when I placed the rock in it kinda sturred up the bottom and the tank got a little dusty but it is clearing as I type... My next thing to find is a skimmer small enough to put on this 15 gallon.. Maybee something air driven... Any ideas.. The tank is 15 gallons....

For the rock.... The two smaller pieces of live rock are Fiji live rock and they were $4.99 per lb.

The large one behind the two front small ones is Cultured Fiji Live rock (man made?) and that one was $5.99 per pound..

I figured I would only get about 5lbs of rock to start out with right now with the cycle. I read that somepeople suggest not to stock fully at the beggining to keep from a die off of most of it.. And that to go slow when adding rock? Does this seem ok? God knows that 5lbs cost me $25.oo and I can't see lossing $100 all at once...

But any rate below are the pics of the tank itself and the rocks.. Again its cloudy right now. Sorry about that...

Lookin good. That looks like some nice quality rock. No way thats man made rock though.

I am freaking out now because this morning I tested the PH in the tank and it was roughly about 8.2.. I just tested it now and since adding the rock it is now at 7.7 AHHHHHHHHHH  How in any way is this possible that adding that rock changed it that much? Does this happen? I am slowly trying to get it back to 8.3 again..... I pray I didn't kill this new rock....

Spank....

a rocks not alive, thing live in it though... if your tank is just cycling things will work out fine, you'll see many weird flux with your levels.
