I am so pumped. After restocking my tank after oscars with a community tank of platys, neons, small zebra danios, and guppies, I spotted a platy and a guppy frie. They are the only two I see for now, but I have very large gravel. So I am sure there are more in there. The platy frie is actually fairly large. He must have been hiding out for a while. Just thought it was cool.

Well, I am going to have to replace my gravel first. I bought very large gravel and will lose more fries in the undergravel filter powered by power heads than I will any other way. I am going to replace it in a week or two. And then I am going to find some breeding grass. I am thinking Petsmart in Huntsville should have that. I know I will lose what fries I have replacing gravel. But it is part of it. I will try to save all I can though.

Don't worry about losing some fry when you change your gravel, you'll have plenty more soon with guppies and platys! Too bad you don't live closer to me, I'd give you some of the fry we have to scoop out of our overflow boxes every week...but if you ask real nice when you go to the PETsMART by you, they might just give you some! ;)

I am not too tore up about losing some. It will be better to lose a few now than watch them continue to get sucked into the power head tube. Just found one this afternoon. I am doing my gravel change around mid week. I already have a platy that is about to pop.

if you have the ocar still feed him the fry!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Lunch time

on a serious note good luck with your new enthusiasm!
