For most mbuna once they reach breeding size/age you really dont' have to do anyhting to get them to breed. Most times you need them to stop :) I believe by 3 inches they should be sexually mature so they should start breeding soon. How long have you had them? A couple tips would be

- do a large water change and drop the temp down a bit.
- make sure you are feeding them good foods
- make sure you have enough females for each male because if a female is constantly bugged by the male she can be stressed and not breed.
- MAke sure you dont' have other fish in the tank that could be stopping them from breeding.

But in my experience you dont' have to do anything to get mbuna to breed. Once they are ready you can't stop them.

hmmm, well i heard u raise the temp. But as for the water change, ive done that, and there are 3 females to 1 male. There are other mbuna in the tank but i have a pair of breeding zebra's so that cant be it. i just want to have cute little babies. i already have a tank for them to grow up in
