where does N P and K comes from?
i mean like NO3 they come from fish waste? what about K? and the other nutrients?

I don;t have a nitrate test kit yet... :)
but i've been dosing kno3 into my tank..

i now have 24 cories in my tank.. will they produce large amounts of nitrate?
if thats the case? is it ok to still dose with kno3?
i'm not sure what the no3 level is acceptable or healthy for cories?
i only have cories and anubias in my tank:)

Dosing nitrate without a nitrate test kit is potentially shooting yourself in the foot. Planted tank keepers commonly aim for nitrate titers between 5 and 15 ppm. Much of the nitrate occuring in tanks comes from nitrification of the ammonia released by the fish and bacteria and infusoria in the tank, so ultimately from the feeding of the fish. Some tap water already contains nitrate. You really need to have a test kit before you do any additions. Anubias is not a very hungry plant, its nutrient uptake is low.

Phosphate and potassium similarly are mostly from feeding as well unless you are adding supplements.

terror, you forgot to mention..."and stop dosing KNO3 immediately!" :)
My educated guess would be if you have fish in your tank, and only Anubias, you do not need to dose nitrate.
