I posted down below, but this is a more specific question that needs a more immediate answer. The pet store said to feed my shovelnose catfish small feeder fish, but how do I go about this? Going to the pet store every day to pick up another load of fish seems like a logical answer, but also a very costly and time-consuming one. Should a get a 1 gallon tank or bowl to put, say, a week's worth of feeder fish in? That would mean that I would have to feed these fish too. What about bloodworms? I'm not sure what I should do. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

ah 1 gallon tabk wouldn't hold much feeders.
they'll just die due to overcrowding..

maybe you can try to train your catfish to take beefheart instead..
not sure if they'll take beefheart though... since i don't have experience with shovelnose.

I got one of the 2.5 gal mini bows for feeders. I can keep a weeks worth of fish in it pretty easy. Yes you will have to feed them, but there going to get eaten. don't feed them steak when hamburger will do. I'm willing to bet you could find some other food (worms, beef hearts as suguested above) or even try frozen feeder fish.
