mail-order fish

Your local fish store is a rip off! I have never seen (depending on what lion you are talking about-I will assume Volitan for now) for more than 79.99 and that was even really expensive for them. I personally have never ordered from saltwaterfish.com The only online stores I have ordered from have been Liveaquaria.com and aquariumstuffers.com My Lion experience at Live Aquaria has never been good. I purchased 2 Fu Manchus (this was like at least 1 year ago) from them and both arrived DOA (possibly due to the cold) so called them and they replaced them. Both of those arrived DOA, called them and they said they could replace them-I said I only wanted 1 and 1 Dwarf Zebra. The Fu Manchu arrived alive but died the next day and the Dwarf had died 1 week later. I haven't tried lately but that was my experience with them. I did buy other things from them and all arrived fine and still have to this day, could have been just the lions. That was my theory anyway. At aquariumstuffers, I ordered 2 Fu Manchus (1 and 1/2 weeks ago) and both arrived cold (they apparently forgot the heat pack) but came back and are absolutly gorgeous (the prettiest Fu Manchu's I've seen in a LONG time ). Both eat like pigs and I have been extremely happy with them. I would recommend either- Live Aquaria has a longer guarentee but Aquariumstuffers has better prices and a wider variety of unique fish. Their shipping is 10 bucks more though. Anyway, hope this helps and good luck.
