Native Longhorn
algae eaters!

I just got a couple and after a few hours of seclusion in a bottom corner, they are out and going nuts. Flying back and forth, seeming to end up in the same spot for a few seconds before scurring around again before ending up at the previously mentioned spot. Is this normal? Are they wigging out because of water issues? The funnies thing about it, is my Cherry Barbs grouped up behind him, and I didn't notice until later, but they were just sitting there watching him. They were there for a good 4-5 minutes watching him fling around. It wasn't until he finally settled in a corner that they disbanded.

Anyway, any info would be appreciated.

Thanks!

They are a particluarily active and skittish fish. Easily spooked. I have heard that they are aggresive towards those of the same type of fish (see the Species Profiles link above) and they may be aggresive to each other in your tank. Iv'e got one in my tank, and it is pretty peacefull though.
