change in my cichlids

Okay lately my cichlids have been acting funny. My female JD isnt the same color. she is paler. every one else is great even the GT that was picked on near to death. My JDs use to spawn every month but lately they havent. the only thing i have done is a water change, cleaned the canister filter, added some carcoal and white stuff, then i added some bubble wands that go across the whole back of the tank. are the bubbles messing things up?

What do you mean by "cleaned the canister filter"?

maybe its the bubble wands, you mayw ant to try taking them out for a while and see how things go, i know i had breeding blue acaras, and they hated the bubble wand, they always looked way pale and stayed on the other side of the tank from it. i put in there a long time ago, then i took it out and they were fine.

Once a month is wash the canister out and either rinse the filter pads or change them completly. I also exchange my carbon mix stuff out.
