I have 2 ryukin in a 40 gallon. They are new fish and only about 1 1/2 inches long. My orange and white will not leave the calico alone. He (or she) likes to be as close and keeps his nose in the other fishes rear area (normal dog behavior, but I've never seen it in fish??) He also seems like he is cleaning the other, but there is nothing on the other fish to clean off. Is this normal? Whats going on? I feel like the other fish isn't getting any peace and quiet because this other one is just chasing it around. Water params are good and the temp is 72.5

Sounds pretty normal to me. You could have a litte boy and little girl, the orange and white ryukin being the boy. Goldfish, like many other species, also have a pecking order. What's your tank decor like? Any hiding/resting spots? I notice this behaviour just after feeding time with my fancies.
You could try adding one or two more same sized ryukins, might give the poor calico a break.... and when it comes to goldfish, the more in the group the happy they are... 4 small fancies in a 40 gallon is workable for a good amount of time - addtional bio-filtration a few months down the road. Eventually you'll either need to rehome a coulpe or get a bigger tank. Anyways, just a thought.

p.s. "water params are good" means very little, it's always a good idea to post the values for what you test for... even if they are 0 across the board.
