I'm about to start cycling a 20 gallon long tank to house some multi's. It has a sand substrate, two small silk plants, and 24 shells to place in there. I plan on Purchasing 3-5 multi's as soon as the tank is done cycling (i do a fishless cycle).
I'd like to have something else in there as well though. I was thinking of either a single or a pair of of masked julies. I would add a piece of texas holey rock and a probably some slate and river rocks to one side of the tank and use the plants to create a buffer between them and the open sand/shells.
Has anyone kept these two kind of fish in a tank this size? If you don't believe it will work, can someone suggest something else that might be interesting to place in the tank?
