I'm so proud of my 10-gal tank, I just had to show it off! :D

It started out like this: just a piece of driftwood and some Fluorite. I had pretty crappy lights so I waited until I got better ones to add plants. The light in this pic is about 1wpg.

After I got good lights (3.6wpg), I still didn't know what to put in the tank. It had become the hospital tank for my sick betta, so I decided to make it an asian swamp themed aquarium for him. I rescued a red tiger lotus out of my other tank from the clown loach (front right) and that was the only plant in this tank for a while. The betta took a turn for the worse and died :(. I ordered a bunch of plants online and moved the anubias nana from my other tank into this one because I had nowhere else to put it. The tank got an algae infection followed by a snail boom. I was very upset but then I realized that the snails were mowing the algae, so I left them be. Then it got BGA and I almost exploded.

And now, tadaa! The finished product (for now)! I ordered more crypts and some hairgrass, and added 4 female bettas and 1 oto, soon to be 2 otos. I replaced the anubias with java fern and but the anubias in my 5-gal betta tank. The grip of the BGA is lessening on the tank, and I hope it goes away completely soon. The lotus, while not asian I don't think, looks good, so it's staying. Everything else in the tank, I believe, is asian, so I have a nice themed tank! Hooray! :D

Very nice, and I really like the progression. It will be gorgeous once it fills out! I'm looking forward to seeing pics of it after a few months when the hairgrass spreads out and the crypts fill out!

At the rate these plants are growing, it should be about a month until it's filled out. This tank has only been functioning since November, and the first set of plants were only added a couple of weeks ago. And now since I got the whole line of Flourish ferts, the plants should be huge in no time!!!

Oh, can anyone ID the moss on the left side of the log? It was growing in the same pot as the harigrass, and I thought it looked cool so I kept it.

Here's a pic, sorry it's so fuzzy. And I can't figure out how to resize it, so.... sorry it's so huge. :)
