I am wondering about what combo's of livestock will work in my tiny 3 gallon Eclipse system 3. I am a nubie into this, fyi! Here are the factors I was looking into:

1. Even tempered livestock. I want to keep the fighting down to a minimal.
2. They have to be small and stay that way. 3 gallon tank :) I know I cant fit much but dont want to overcrowd!
3. It's a 6 watt NO flouresent bulb. I will not be modifying the light any time soon so all livestock would have to require 2-3watts per gallon.

I will be cycling with live rock... I really like the clowfish and anemone interaction, do i have any room for other fish and/or inverts?

Just some specs on the tank if it means anything... the biowheel pumps out 35GPH and the specs are 12hx14wx9h. Maybe an inch of substrate i guess needs to be factored in.

Hopefully i provided a decent amount of info here. Any comments will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!!!

A 3 gallon tank is not suitable for any of the clown fish, much less an anenome. Sorry, but that system really will not be good for more than maybe a clown goby and a few hermit crabs. Small saltwater tanks are very challenging, and I wouldn't encourage anyone to go with less than a 20 for a first time tank--keeping them stable is tough, and requires a lot mroe work than on a bigger tank.

And no, the lighting in there is not suitable for a coral--it would be suitable for low light plants, but not any corals or anenomes. Sorry--in your other posts, you seemed to be setting up a FW tank, much different.

i am exploring my options both ways, i am pretty experienced with freshwater cichlids (south american along & mbunas), thinking about doing something different. i believe i am ready for the day to day tasks with saltwater :)

Maybe liverock and a single peppermint shrimp (wait at least a month before adding the shrimp).
After about 6 months, you might try a single neon gobie or clown gobie.
Either way you should be prepared to change about a gallon (or maybe a half-gallon) of water weekly, and top off evaporation daily (to prevent large salinity changes).
