I've noticed them before but I just took a closer look today and these white spots are all over every piece of my driftwood. They are also on my rocks. I thought they were tiny air bubbles at first but I took a piece of wood out and they came off on my finger. They are so tiny but can't figure out what the heck they are? Maybe some kind of mineral deposit? Hope they aren't some type of parasitic eggs!! Here are some shots:
