I have a 20 gallon long that has 1 pleco, and 1 silver dollar, both of which are out growing my tank so I'm giving them to my friend because he has a way bigger tank. I wanted to get cichlids, but my tank is too small for the ones i want (convicts), so that's not happening :sad . What I want is an attractive schoaling (sp?) fish that would be fun to watch, most likely neons, and another medium size fish (2 to 3 inches). and nothing that would be too senstive to water conditions. My question is what fish do you guys recommend and how many to get, THanks.

If I had to buy fish for my 20 gallon now, I would buy a pair of blue rams, 4 or 5 black neons, OR,

1 male and 2 female apistogrammas (cockatoo or borelli) and a few cory cats. :)

So many fish so few tanks lol.....

Oh and prolly a lil bushynose pleco :)

If water is kept clean and parameters in normal levels, IE: amonia, nitrite and nitrates, there should be no problem. I could probably try a pair in my 20g now, but need to concentrate on getting my bigger tank up first. I'd go for it if I was in your position. :)
