I am looking at getting some parayas since piranahs are not legal in AL. If parayas are not legal I guess I would have to go with some bucktooth tetras. I simply want some type of fish with teeth that show and that is lively unlike a wolfish or some other nocturnal predator. Any suggestions would be great. I have a 55 gallon with great filtration.
Are paraya legal in AL..also other ?'s

For a 55g i'd say a school of exodons are your best bet. All the cool preds grow far too big for a 55g.
Yea I think I will go with the exodons. Do you think some dwarf birchirs would be ok. I would like to have a few other preds besides the exodons.
I know there are "short body" bichirs, pretty much dwarfs... Mostly available in Asia though, i've never seen a pic of one from North America
