I have a 120 SW tank with one yellow tang, 2 clownfish, 1 cleaners wrasse , 1 rock beauty angelfish and 2 catfish. This is my problem the catfish this morning are swimming near a corner and are not coming down. I haven't had a problem with them before. Test the water for PH No NH and Nitrates everything is great. Did one of the fish do something to them? Fed the other fish and they would not come down to eat they were eating great yesterday. Did they over eat maybe? Thank you for any help.

Difficult to say my friend... as always, move any suspect fish to a quarantine system as soon as possible and deal with it there. If you don't have one, invest in it asap; you won't regret it, a real key for long term success.

not sure of the proper name but they are also called the columbian shark. The are eating again now on the bottom but still go to the top sometimes and stay.

What salinity are they at? How long? How old are the fish? Columbians start out in fresh to bracksih conditions and migrate to higher salinity as they mature. Juveniles do not yet have the biology to deal with full strength marine and will be stressed as their body tries to deal with the salt.

Thank you that was probably it that they were just a little stressed out. They are doing great today.

My 6 inch columbian shark does the same thing also.....every 2 months he'll do it for a day or two then stop. I thought this was quite strange but he's healthy ands gets bigger everyday because he eats like a horse.

I wouldn't worry about it too much...they just like swimming around the top and in corners from time to time.

put them in a quarantine tank and see how they do for about a week or so that would be your best bet and make sure they are eating
