My filter (topfin 30) is leaking so I bought an emperor 400. If I have both on the 29g tank, is that too much? Will my fish have a hard time swimming?

is the emp. 400 too big for the 29g by itself? thanks

What do you have in your tank? Some fish will struggle with too much current but others will thrive on it. In general, you can never have too much filtration so it should be O.k. But if you have a bunch of lazy fish that keep to the top of the tank, they could become overworked fighting the current.

Hi, I have one male guppy, 2 male platy's and 3 corydora's. I plan on getting 3-5 more fish, not sure what yet.

Also my tank is planted, some are floating, will that break up the current?
