how much would it cost to convert a rena panorama 120 to sw with coral
i have a rena filstar xp2 filter http://www.theaquariumshop.co.uk/ishop/1029/shopscr14.html

they are the stats...
i assume i need, UV, skimmer 2 more powerheads or so and another light fitting?

I have river sand already in my tank is this good enough for marines or not?

also are marrines as hard to keep as people say they are?

no river sand wouldnt be good. If you want corals IMO you should set up a refugium. With corals its best to have 0 nitrates (or trites cant remeber) and canisters will produce them. I had that problem. I have a 20 set up and its cost about $300 not to mention the cost of salt and LR. Most people who have bigger tanks put double if not triple the amount.

its been my experience to figure out how much you think it may cost upgrading... do your homework and make a good guess..... then aft eryou got that all figured out double it.... that should be a rough estimate on wha tyou will actually spend.. hopefully your not in a huge hurry becuase salt tanks and hurry aren't to be used in the same sentence....

it is very worthwhile.. you will really enjoy a saltwater tank but it is a big evestment with time and money.. it is the most rewarding of all my hobbies...
