saw a tank today set up like tea party -- plastic table, silk table cloth, small glass tea cups and saucers, an eel hanging out in one of the tea cups. not something i'd want in my home, but definately made me take a second look!

what's the strangest decor you've seen in a tank? or used, for that matter =]

Yea i have seen that, i think it sux to be honest...

Ugh--Bronco stuff. Orange and blue gravel, Broncos coffee mugs, little plastic helmets...Yuck. I'm not into football at all, and orange is not one of my favorite colors. I was buying the 55 from them, and they sounded genuinely sorry when they said I couldn't have their Broncos stuff with the tank. I bit my tongue to avoid laughing in their face!

- A miniature, fully furnished house (replete with tiny chandeliers)
- Ceramic oil drums, boots, tires, soda cans, etc., amongst which carp rooted about (a diorama/environmental statement about the polluted Cuyahoga River)

If I had unlimited funds I really would make a North American Lake biotype thing. A really big tank with some perch, a bass or two, a smaller catfish, cold water plants, lures stuck in the stump, old hooks and sinkers laying around, a beer can or two and the obligatory platic six pack rings. Cleaning would be a painbecause all that trash would likely clog up my gravel vac. Oh, and if I could get some kind of remote control boat on top that motored around with a water skier on back, that would rock.

i once had a 10 gal with a barbie in it, i cut a hole in the back of her head and inserted an airstone.
yes indeed, barbie is an airhead

I think a "Lake" type biotope like Harlock said would be killer...a buncha drift wood, some old lures stuck to it, a beer can or 2. That would be awesome!!

The coolest one Ive seen was furnished like an office...it had a desk with computer, and a chair and sconce lamp, and file cabinets...I kinda liked it for an work tank.
