My 55 contains:
3 Nyasse black fin about 2.5 inches
3 electric blue ahlis about 3 inches
3 aulonocara ngara about 2.5 inches
3 c. borleyi an adult male about 5-6 inches and two juvies about 2 inches
1 electric yellow lab about 4 inches
We will be adding 2 more electric yellow juvies hoping to get at least 1 female and our plan is to pare down the population to a male/female pair of each of the above. There is enough rock work for the smaller fish to have a place to hide.
Do you all think the plan of paring down to 5 couples will work?
One of the blue ahlis has what looks to me like ich. In the past with rainbows and tetras I've treated it sucessfully with temperture alone.
Turning the temp up to 87-88 and waiting about a week after the last spot disappeared. Any reason this wouldnt work with mawlawi cichlids?
