Would this work for a community tank?

I think that my tank is a 30 gallon, 30inches long 12wide 22tall

The fish I would be keeping in this biotope tank would be:

Angel Fish: 2 (4 to start as babies and keep the pair I like better)
Black-Skirt Tetras: 10
Corydoras Catfish: 6
Sword Tails: 4 (2 males, 2 females)

I plan to have some amazon plants in there as well

I'd go with one male and three females on the swordtails. Males tend to harass the crap out of females in a one to one ratio. With 3 females to divide his attention, your male would be happier and the females would be less bothered.

Is your tank a 30 gallon tall? If not I'm not sure they would do to well in that tank, also like geoffgarcia said they aren't great community fish, and may attack your corys. I might also cut down nthe number of black skirts to 7 or 8 if you plan to heavily plant your tank. Good luck. :)

Oh, well once I had an Angel some Blackskirts, and a Cory. The Angel got along with the Blackskirts, but not the Cory. Could just be my luck though. Lol :)

I just checked on the compatibility of your three species at fishprofiles.com. I found that your Blackskirts and Corys are compatible, however, when I checked to see if the Angels were compatible with either species, and they weren't. Just thouht you might want to know. Good Luck. :)

Hmm...I've never had problems with angels in a community setting. Even full grown males around 6" in length and 8" in height. I've kept them with many different tetra and cory species with exception of the smaller, bite-sized tetras(neons, etc)
The only aggression I ever witnessed with them was with other angels...they never bothered the other fish, though black skirts and especially tiger barbs may very well nip at their long fins.

My main concern would be for the angels, the rest of the fish are pretty active fast, constantly on the move fish. The angels are a peaceful slow moving fish for the most part. I don't think the angels would appreciate so much action. It might work out just fine, but I wouldn't reccomend it. The cories and the angels would work fine enough, but I'd leave the black skirts and swordtails out.
