Hey all,

I am trying a jello mix for the second time and don't seem to be getting enough pressure. I have checked for leaks in my hoses. . . My first try at this had the same problem. The mix is foaming and the hose is sitting in the tank but is filled with water up to the water line. If I shake the bottle it pushes the water down a little but eventually ends up back at the water line. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. . .

I'm perplexed.

Either your mix is incorrect, you have a leak in the line(probably at the bottle cap), or you are not waiting long enough for it to start to react. I've never used the jello mix, but they say it takes a little longer to get going and is supposed to last longer. I get gas in 10 minutes without jello.

Thanks. I'll check the line again. . . I guess.

I had a similar problem last week. Turned out that the hose wasn't getting a good seal at the bottle cap. Tightened it up and now it's bubbling away.

try spraying the conjunction of the line and cap with some windex or soapy water. if its leaking you will see bubles comming out.

either that or fill the bottle up with air and then submerge the cap area in water and squeeze the bottle to see if there are bubles.

I found the plastic bottle and cap to be nothing but a problem. The cap eventually would leak no matter what. The large wine bottle with a stopper has worked very well, it is almost as inexpensive as the plastic bottle setup. The stoppers are about a dollar.
