today i purchased 3 bp for my 55 gallon tank. they're real small (about the size of a quarter) right now, the only other fish is a small pleco. i want to add 4 convicts. will i eventually need another tank? and will they tolerate each other? any suggestions for other tank mates?

Bp's and cons make good tankmates although they will interbreed.Your tank sounds fine for the time being but will be overstocked when they are fully grown.
