about 20 mins ago my guppies started going crazy, they are swimming around fast and going up and down really fast (scaling the glass walls) they are not dong this constantly. its little burst of activity. all three of them are doing it, the biggest one is going up and down all the tie really fast.
they seem to be having fun but being a first time fish owner i was worried.
btw i moved around some stuff in there tank before this started.

It will probably stop after a bit (if the water is testing ok, that is). I have some swordtails that do that. Sometimes they are just seeing a reflection... one does, the next one does it, pretty soon a few are doing it. Other times, it may be that they are just shook up a bit. You mentioned that you moved some things around. Either way, they will either calm down or get bored. If they are shook up a bit, turning the light off will help them calm down.

thanks, they seem to have calmed down and are back to swimming normally and going up and down sometimes. this is the second full day they are in this tank and today is the first time i have seen them at the bottom of the tank. usually they where at the top. now they are exploring the entire aquarium.
ah, ok. They are that new to the tank... I have a shark that did the same thing for a day or so when I first put him in the tank. Then he calmed down. Too bad they can't talk to us huh? ;)

at first mine where scared of the stone, i tied it to make the air flow weaker and they seem to enjoy it now. Soon they will be running laps.

My mollies do that in one corner of my aquarium... they seem to enjoy it, do it maybe a third of the time (when the male isn't chasing the females ;) )

Mine do that too and I guess they just get bored and trying to get out. Just like a prisoner that is locked up in a cell and gets bored and wants out.
