I bought 6 Mountain Shrimp yesterday and was told they were fillter feeders and to feed them I could use baby powder food for fish, is this correct ?. Do these shrimp also scavenge for food left around the tank by my other fish ?. I've tried to do Google searches on these shrimp but just dont seem to be able to fish any detailsed information on them can anyone reccommend a site that relates to caring for freshwater shrimp ????.

Scroll down to Atyopsis moluccensis, aka Wood, Singapore, and several other common names. They are scavengers only when they cannot get food by their filter fans, scavenging is not very effective for them IME.
