Hi!

I was gearing up to start a 10 gallon tropical tank but a friend has since given me a 20 gallon for FREE plus all the equipment! (ahhh she's a good friend :) ) However I will be getting new water test kits (the ones I was given look quite old) and new food! :)

Originally I was going to go for (in the 10 gall)

3 cories (not sure which type yet)
10 neon tetras

I was just wondering would this be too few fish in a 20 gallon, or could I possibly have some more? Plus there will be 2 pieces of driftwood in there and some plants (both plastic and small, and some live) I don't want to overstock but the info so far that I've read on this site says I could possibly keep 5 cories?

Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

Thanks!

Great! Thanks for your help!
My friend was lucky she could prize me off of her I was hugging her so hard! :p
I'm hoping to post pics once I get it set up so watch this,(or a similar),space!

Thanks again!

d0nut: there is no such thing as having too few fish, in fact it's usually better to understock than overstock (better safe than sorry). :)

But, I do think that in addition to the neons and cories, you could probably stock with one other species (more than likley another schooling species).

A school Black Neon Tetras look really cool :) (despite the name, they are NOT related to the neon tetra)

Here's some links with info on them I got from searching Black Neon Tetra on google:

ooooohhhhh

Those are very pretty. I like the look of mollies too. What do you think of those? I need more tanks! :o
Any fish that anyone can think of for the third type in the tank?

All suggestions are welcome! Im curious to know what you guys would put in!

Thanks for your thoughts so far!
