How to measure prime

I am in the UK and haven't managed to find Prime in the LFS, I have however managed to order some online and am going to use it for my water change today. My buckets contain 10 L each and to my calculation that means I have to add 0.25 ml of prime to each bucket of water!!! First I want to confirm that I have done my sums right as that seems such a tiny volume!! and next how on earth do I measure such a small volume, other than borrowing scientific pippettes from work ( I work in a laboratory!!) is it actually critical? My puffer seems s bit off colour at the moment and I don't want to stress him anymore, I am hoping the magic water change might help!!

How many litres do you plan to replace in total? You do not need to add prime to each bucket, you can add the total required to one bucket (or directly to the tank) and it will mix with the rest of the water when you add it in. Unless you're seriously overdosing it, adding a little extra isn't going to harm your fish.

When I use Prime I always add a bit too much, because I cant be bothered to measure it all out. One or two drops of this stuff should be good enought for 10g.

I just went to the grocery store and bought a medecine dropper that has measurements in milliliters. In my case they had some with all the baby stuff and they had some around the pharmacy. The particular one I got has measurements for .25 - 2.5 milliliters.

There's really no need to be so precise with measuring Prime. I have a 55gal tank and I typically use about a capful of Prime during water changes (typically around 40%-50%). This is more than enough, but as long as you don't use more than 2-3 times the dose, it will be fine. No need to bother with medicine droppers and all that.

And yes, it seems odd that so little does so much, but Prime is highly concentrated and inexpensive (per dose). This is why it's the best dechlorinator to use.
