i am curious if this is a good combination or not? right now i'm in the cycling stage of my tank.

No, if it's the same specie, black sharks get quite large, like 30'' and need extremely large tanks. Dwarf frogs stay small and should be kept in smaller tanks to make them more comfortable and easier to target feed.
