Hi,
i'm using black gravel in the 55G aquarium but when i turn on the lights, the gravel looks grey. I tried changing the background from blue to black but with no significant change whatsoever. the lamps are rated at 6700K.
i though it was the color of the compact fluoros so i put some gravel in a glass full of water, under the usual kitchen fluoro but again the gravel looked grey and not black.
i saw the same gravel being used in my local pet shore and it was black.
what am i doing wrong here?
