what would be the best plant to have in a tank if i wanted to breed harlequin rasboras. I have heard crypts and java moss. What would be the best for breeding purposes?

I may be wrong, but as I remember it(which may or may not be reliable), they are egg spreaders and as such you want the eggs to fall down into something like Java Moss before they can turn, locate them and eat them.
Some people put a layer of marbles on the floor of the tank(bare bottomed) and over that, a covering of moss for the eggs to fall into. After breeding the 'parents' are removed and the eggs are left to hatch.
Hopefully someone with a better memory than mine will either confirm this or tell you I'm full of soup
. It's been a long time since I was into fish breeding.
