I have a pair of Neon Yellows and a Pair of Kenyiis. They are housed in a 300L tank that has thrived for years. I have the water matched to lake conditions and am always looking for new ways to exploit the full color potential of my fish (naturally that is). I have always fed 3 smaller meals daily, 1) Hikari Cichlid Bio-Gold, 2) Spirulina Flakes, 3) Juvenille Zebra Danios or Frozen Krill. The tank is in my office waiting room and so I have always fed them (the pellets are distributed by an automatic feed on the weekends.)

Anyway, I'm getting married next week and will be taking 7-weeks off to go to Argentina with my wife. I was thinking about putting a new brand of pellet in the feeder while I was gone. The fish will be only eating this food while I'm gone. I've heard incredible things about New Life Spectrum foods. I was just hoping for a little input on what you guys thought were the best ultra premium cichlid foods out there.
(I'll also have my secretary's son, a big fish nut, checking in on the tank and he will change the food back if they are not eating.)

Thanks,

Reece

I would say NLS pellets are your best bet. They are the best food on the market. I use them to feed all my africans and they are showing better colors then they ever had before. IF you want info(very indepth discussions) about NLS(especially when feeding africans) check out the health/nutrition folder over at Cichlid-forum.com forum's. I woudl definately suggest feeding NLS, even to your herbivores.
