beneficial bacteria in a deseased tank

I just found out that my fish got sick but I'm not sure whether it is ich or lymphocytis but i had them removed to a quarantine tank. what do i have to do with my main tank? shoud i change all the water? or just leave it like that for a few days? will the beneficial bacteria lives without water? should i clean my tank?

i've been treated my fish with methalyne blue, will the beneficial bacteria die when i remove the fish to the main tank?

its empty now since i have moved them to quarantine tank

ich cant survive without a host for very long.

Crank up the temp and let the tank run for two days. Then add your fish back.

If your worried about keeping the bacteria alive, then you could add some ammonia once a day.
