Any ideas for some new additions to my 55g fw tank? The link below has images of the tank as well as some close ups of the fish.

Was looking to add a new fish, any ideas? Also How many more fish can I keep in the tank?

Hey dude, whats up, first off can i ask what external filter you are using there? Looks like an eheim am i correct?

I absolutely love my bristlenose plecos. They will take care of any and all algae, leftover food, and even clean your plants of algae. Fun fish to watch, especially once they're used to the tank and tankmates.

They also can handle rough company from what I've read as well.

Are these all in the same tank? I see what looks like a firemouth, a convict pair, an oscar, a dempsey, and a green terror(?)... Looks to be quite a heavy load when those fish grow... Any plans on a larger tank?

The canister filter is an eheim 2213 for up to 66g setup and I have a bio wheel pilter for upto 75 gallond setups.

Yes the fish are all in one tank for now, I plan to build an ultimate setup down the road, plans are on hold for now. Either get another tank to seperate some of the ones that will get to large for 55g setup, breaking the fish up. Or getting one big tank. Any ideas on when I would have to upgrade, spec, for the oscar? And what size?

Thanks for all your post.

Pretty snazzy tank there. Certainly packed with goodness. I'd leave it alone for now, looks great. If you get the urge to buy more, wait for another tank setup.
I've had my thrills with convicts, oscars, dempseys, snakeheads etc...
I've actually had more thrills watching my rummynose tetras dart around, than the ol' tried and true aggressive fish...but that's just me. Besides, my snakehead smashed through my tank top 3 times....scared the crap out of me as I was a few feet away at the computer....but that's another story.
Your filtration setup seems sufficient for the copious amounts of waste your large fish produce. You ceraintly look like you have the room for more fish yet, that depends on what's already in there. Give it a try if you must, just be prepared to net him out if the aggression levels peak.

you do not need to worry about getting any tankmates for your fish i would consider redecorating your tank for your mates, then get some more mates for your tank. Get rid of the pots and get some good looking rocks and build some caves. Get rid of th blue background turn it over to the black side the fish look better. And get some natural looking sand substrate. I dont mean to be so harsh the tank looks ok just too fake, unless you like it.
